Does MapMC upload my image?
No. The chosen image is decoded, cropped, and converted only in the current browser. MapMC does not upload, store, or send the file or its pixels to a server.
What file types and sizes does the converter accept?
Use a JPEG, static PNG, or static WebP up to 20 MB, 20 megapixels, and 8,192 pixels on one edge. HEIC, HEIF, SVG, GIF, APNG, animated WebP, and image URLs are outside this release.
Will the converter match every Minecraft texture exactly?
No. It maps colors to fixed representative concrete swatches for planning. Resource packs, shaders, lighting, and biome effects can change how the blocks look in a game.
Can I import the converted PNG into Minecraft?
No. The PNG and material list are manual build references only. They are not a world, schematic, litematic, NBT file, map item, map data file, or automatic import.
