Local flat-NORMAL map-art planner

Minecraft Map Art Generator for Flat Scale-0 Build Plans

Turn a local static PNG, JPEG, or WebP into a 1×1 through 4×4 scale-0 Java map-art plan. Choose contain or cover and an opaque background, then export a deterministic preview and TXT material plan without height shading, water shading, dithering, world files, or map data.

Runs in this browser

Decode, resize, quantization, preview, and exports run locally after verified assets load.

  • The file and decoded pixels stay in this browser.
  • The source file, pixels, fit, and result remain in this browser and are not uploaded.

No height or water shading

All art blocks and the north guard share one Y level. Height variants, water depth, dithering, and transparent map colors are excluded.

  • Opaque Q20 linear-sRGB fitting selects from the frozen palette; resource packs and in-game rendering can look different.
  • PNG and TXT are references, not .dat, world, schematic, Litematica, map item, or automatic import files.

Local source image

Choose a local static image and prepare a Java 26.2 scale-0 horizontal flat-NORMAL map-art build plan for a 1×1 through 4×4 map grid. Output is an opaque PNG preview and deterministic TXT plan, never a world or map data file.

Scale-0 map grid

Each tile is 128×128 map pixels and blocks.

One scale-0 map covers 128×128 horizontal blocks. The largest plan is 4×4 maps, or 512×512 art blocks.
Image fitCover can remove source edges; contain can add background bands.
Opaque background block

Transparent source pixels are composited over one selected flat-NORMAL palette block.

Technical block ID: minecraft:grass_block

Every exported art pixel is opaque.Alpha is composited before color fitting; transparent map color is not emitted.

Preview, counts, material rows, and TXT all come from the same deterministic quantized result.

The preview represents palette choices, not Minecraft lighting, textures, shaders, or biome tint.

One verified flat map route

This tool plans scale-0 art on a horizontal, same-height Java surface using only flat-NORMAL palette colors.

No height or water shading
All art blocks and the north guard share one Y level. Height variants, water depth, dithering, and transparent map colors are excluded.
Deterministic color fitting
Opaque Q20 linear-sRGB fitting selects from the frozen palette; resource packs and in-game rendering can look different.
Manual build files only
PNG and TXT are references, not .dat, world, schematic, Litematica, map item, or automatic import files.

The palette and orientation target Minecraft Java 26.2 scale-0 map behavior.

Minecraft Map Art Generator FAQ

What does flat NORMAL map art mean?
Every art block is placed on one horizontal Y level and uses the frozen Java 26.2 NORMAL palette route. Height shading, water depth shading, transparent map color, and dithering are not part of this tool.
How do grid size, contain, cover, and background work?
Choose 1–4 maps wide and tall; each map is 128×128 blocks. Contain keeps the whole source with opaque background bands, while cover fills the grid and crops centered overflow.
What do the materials and north guard represent?
Material counts come from the quantized art pixels. A separate same-height guard row sits immediately north, is counted independently, and is not drawn into the art PNG.
Does it upload my image or export a Minecraft map file?
No. Decoding and processing remain in the browser. PNG and TXT are manual build references, not .dat, world, schematic, Litematica, map item, or automatic import files.
