Java item stack and slot arithmetic

Minecraft Stack Calculator for Items, Slots, and Shulkers

Pick one official Java 26.2 item and enter a non-negative whole quantity. The browser calculates full default stacks, remainder, occupied slots, and eligible shulker grouping without custom stack sizes, recipes, mixed inventory, or mod rules.

Official default size

There is no manual stack-size override and no component, mod, plugin, or custom-server rule.

  • Quantities must remain non-negative safe integers so every quotient and remainder is exact.
  • Recipes, recursive materials, current inventory subtraction, and build estimates belong to other tools.

Grouping, not inventory design

Shulker metrics group occupied slots only. Chests, bundles, backpacks, mixed items, and nesting are outside the model.

Count one Java item

Choose one generated Java 26.2 item and enter a non-negative quantity to calculate its official default stacks, remainder, occupied inventory slots, and eligible shulker-box grouping locally.

Loading Java 26.2 item data…

The selected item supplies its frozen default maximum stack size of 1, 16, or 64.

Technical item ID—
Default maximum stack size

Enter a whole number from 0 to JavaScript's safe-integer maximum.

Item IDs and default stack sizes come from the frozen Java 26.2 generated asset.

Technical IDs remain in canonical minecraft:namespace form.

Stack and slot result

Every metric uses this item's default Java 26.2 stack size.

Default stack arithmetic only

This page divides one quantity by the selected item's frozen default stack size.

Minecraft Stack Calculator FAQ

Where does each item's stack size come from?
The picker uses the frozen generated Java 26.2 item asset and its default stack size. You cannot override the value for components, mods, plugins, or custom servers.
How are full stacks, remainder, and slots calculated?
Full stacks are integer division by the default maximum, remainder is the exact leftover, and occupied slots are full stacks plus one only when a remainder exists.
Why is shulker grouping N/A for shulker-box items?
The tool never promises nested shulker storage. A shulker-box item still receives ordinary stack and slot metrics, but both shulker grouping metrics are displayed as N/A rather than zero.
Does this calculate recipes, chests, bundles, or my inventory?
No. It handles one item and quantity only. Recipe trees, current inventory subtraction, mixed containers, bundles, chests, backpacks, and nesting belong outside this calculator.
