Cookie Policy
MapMC uses only a small number of cookies — almost all strictly necessary to run the service. This policy explains which cookies we use and why.
What are cookies
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. We also use your browser's local storage for the same purposes. Below we refer to all of these simply as “cookies”.
Cookies we use
Strictly necessary — a session cookie that keeps you signed in (Better Auth) and a CSRF token for security. These cannot be turned off. Functional — your interface preferences such as theme and language. We do not use advertising, marketing, or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not use Google Analytics. Our basic usage analytics (Vercel Analytics) is cookieless.
Third-party cookies
We set no third-party tracking cookies. Third-party cookies appear only during specific actions you start: Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google. Creem — only on its secure checkout page while you pay (card data goes directly to Creem, never through us). Each provider has its own privacy policy.
Managing cookies
Your browser lets you view, delete, or block cookies in its settings. Note that blocking the strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in or staying signed in.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy; any changes are posted on this page. Questions about cookies? Email w.xchun1982@gmail.com.
