Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern your use of MapMC. Please read them carefully before using the Service.
1. What MapMC is
MapMC ("we", "us") is a tool at mapmc.app that converts real-world map data from OpenStreetMap into Minecraft world files (.mcworld for Bedrock Edition, or a world folder for Java Edition). By using the service ("Service") you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
2. Not affiliated with Mojang or Microsoft
MapMC is an independent third-party tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Mojang Studios or Microsoft. "Minecraft" is a trademark of Mojang Studios. You need your own licensed copy of Minecraft to use the world files we generate. We do not provide Minecraft itself.
3. Accounts
To use paid features you must create an account. You agree to: Provide an accurate email address. Keep your login credentials secure. Be at least 16 years old (or have a parent/guardian's consent). Be responsible for all activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Credits, one-time payments and regional pricing
MapMC has no subscription. You may buy a fixed Credits pack or pay once for one generation through Stripe Checkout. Credits never expire and bonus Credits have no cash value. The server calculates the final price from the selected area and map region. Standard regions use 1.0× pricing; listed regional-discount locations use 0.5×. If an area crosses zones, the higher 1.0× rate applies. The final Credits and USD totals are shown before confirmation. Stripe processes payment details; MapMC does not store card or wallet credentials. Refunds follow the Refund Policy (/refund).
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to: Use the Service to break any law. Attempt to bypass payment, abuse refunds, or exploit bugs for free generations. Automate, scrape, or hammer our API beyond normal interactive use. Resell raw access to MapMC as your own service (using the generated world files yourself — including in commercial videos — is fine). Upload malicious input or attempt to disrupt the Service.
6. Your generated worlds
The world files we generate for you are yours to keep, edit, share, host on a server, or use in monetized content (subject to Mojang's own brand guidelines for Minecraft content). MapMC claims no ownership over them. The underlying map data comes from OpenStreetMap contributors and is licensed under the Open Database License (ODbL). The conversion engine is the open-source Arnis (https://github.com/louis-e/arnis) project, licensed under Apache-2.0.
7. Service "as-is" — no guarantee of output quality
MapMC depends on OpenStreetMap data, which varies widely in coverage. If you select an area with little or no OSM data, the generated world will be sparse. This is not a defect — the service has been rendered. We strongly recommend checking openstreetmap.org (https://www.openstreetmap.org) for your area before generating, and starting with a small (cheap) region first. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MapMC's total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
9. Termination
You can stop using MapMC and request account deletion at any time (see the Privacy Policy at /privacy). We may suspend or terminate your access for violations of these Terms. On termination, unspent balance is handled per the Refund Policy.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced by email or an on-site notice. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the new Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the operator's country of registration (see Imprint at /imprint). Disputes will be handled by the courts of that jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
