Start with the same world
Use the seed from the Java world you intend to play. If commands are available, run /seed and enter the signed number exactly, including any minus sign. Choose the exact game release from the selector. The result applies to the seed and verified version you entered. The form accepts block X and Z coordinates and converts them to chunks, including positions west or north of zero.
Read the nearby grid
Each square represents one 16 × 16 chunk viewed from above. The block coordinates you entered sit in the central square. Green marks a candidate slime chunk, and the selected panel shows the chunk coordinates and inclusive block ranges. Select a square with a mouse or keyboard, then copy the boundaries for your build. The view covers up to 11 × 11 chunks; it does not show terrain, structures or a whole-world map.
Check spawning before building
A slime chunk is a starting point, not a promise that slimes will appear. Before digging, check the rules for your version, including dimension, height, difficulty, player position, available spawn space and any relevant game settings. In Java 26.3, the official server code checks that the slime-chunk position is below Y=40 and the difficulty is not peaceful. Those checks are not a complete spawning checklist.
If the result seems wrong
Make sure you are using Java Edition and one of the exact versions listed, then recheck your world's numeric /seed and block X/Z. Editing any field clears the old grid; select Find slime chunks again to calculate the updated result. If you play on a server, confirm the seed with its operator. Mods, plugins and custom game rules can affect actual spawning, so verify a candidate in the world you plan to use.
