Real-world map to Minecraft

Turn a Google Maps location into a Minecraft world

Search for a real place, draw the area you want, and let MapMC rebuild roads, buildings, water, and terrain as Minecraft blocks. Download the result for Bedrock or Java Edition.

MapMC uses OpenStreetMap data and does not copy or convert Google Maps data. You can use Google Maps to identify a place, then select the matching area in MapMC.

  • Search real-world places
  • Draw a custom rectangle
  • Bedrock and Java output
  • Powered by OpenStreetMap data

How to convert a map location to Minecraft

This Google Maps Minecraft converter workflow takes only a location and a selected boundary.

  1. 1

    Find the location

Use Google Maps or another map to identify the town, landmark, or coordinates you want to recreate.

  2. 2

Open the same place in MapMC

Search the place name or coordinates in MapMC's world generator, which displays OpenStreetMap map data.

  3. 3

    Draw and configure the area

Draw a rectangle, check its size and price, then choose Bedrock or Java Edition.

  4. 4

    Generate and download

Start the job. MapMC rebuilds the selected area with Arnis and provides the finished world in My Worlds.

What MapMC converts

MapMC reads geographic features available in OpenStreetMap, including roads, building footprints, water, land use, and elevation inputs. The Arnis engine translates those features into Minecraft blocks.

The output is a playable approximation, not a photorealistic copy. Data completeness and terrain detail depend on the selected location.

Google Maps and OpenStreetMap are different

Google Maps can help you discover or verify a location, but its imagery and map data are not the source used for generation. MapMC uses OpenStreetMap, an openly licensed collaborative map.

This distinction keeps the workflow transparent: locate the place, then generate from the matching OpenStreetMap area inside MapMC.

Choose Bedrock or Java

Choose Bedrock for a .mcworld file that can be imported on supported devices. Choose Java for a zipped world folder.

Pricing is based on the selected area. Balance payments are restored automatically when an eligible generation fails; direct-payment refunds to the original payment method are processed asynchronously. Eligible generation failures follow the Refund Policy.
