How to find a Village from your Seed

How do I get my Minecraft Seed?

Use /seed in a Java world you own or copy the Seed from world settings. Numeric and text Seeds are normalized locally.

What do the Village coordinates mean?

They are the official Java 26.2 locate X/Z for the nearest viable Village from your Overworld origin.

Does this match /locate structure #minecraft:village?

Yes. The released browser kernel matches all 60 official server cases in the Village Golden Set, including the returned Village type.

Why is there no Y coordinate or route?

Minecraft locate identifies X/Z, not a safe Y level, route, or entrance. Terrain and structures can affect the final approach.

Does a Village result guarantee villagers or loot?

No. This Finder does not inspect buildings, villagers, chests, loot, raids, or the state of a world you have already changed.

Does it support Bedrock Edition?

No. This release is verified only for unmodified Minecraft Java 26.2.

Does MapMC receive my Seed or coordinates?

No. Search and map rendering run in browser Workers, and shared state stays after the URL # symbol.
